Day One – Welcome to Washington DC!
Welcome to our Nation’s Capital – Washington DC and check into our DC area hotel for a relaxing five-night stay. Receive a warm greeting by our Tour Guide upon arrival and take some time to freshen up. This evening, enjoy dining at the historic Gatsby’s Tavern. Following dinner, enjoy a guided tour of the tavern and museum and learn of the many prominent patrons who frequented the Tavern, such as George Washington, John Adams, James Madison and many others!

Day Two – Washington DC Touring & Illumination Tour
After breakfast, depart with our guide for a full day tour of our Nation’s Capital. Today’s highlights include a visit and docent guided tour of the U.S. Capitol Building. Views of the White House, visit to the White House Visitors Center, Visit to the Library of Congress, and windshield touring with views of Embassy Row, Supreme Court, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and much more. Throughout the day, also enjoy picture stops at various Monuments. Enjoy an early dinner followed by an evening of sightseeing featuring our national’s most beloved memorials and monuments dramatically illuminated upon the Washington landscape. Highlights include the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, the Korean and the Vietnam Veterans Memorials.

Day Three – Museum of the Bible, National Mall & Smithsonian Museums
This morning, enjoy a visit to the new Museum of the Bible, followed by the National Mall to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture and other Smithsonian Museums of our choice. Tonight, enjoy dinner at one of DC’s fine restaurants.

Day Four – Mount Vernon Estate, Luncheon & Potomac River Cruise
This morning, enjoy breakfast before we venture out to Mount Vernon; home of President George Washington. Enjoy the day exploring this beautiful estate and farm overlooking the Potomac! Tour the grounds and buildings, and enjoy self-guided tour through the home. Mid-day, we’ll enjoy a planned luncheon at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant with all its colonial charm, colonial servers, and delicious regional and colonial cuisine. Later this afternoon, board Potomac River Cruises for a scenic cruise along the Potomac River back to Old Town Alexandria. Enjoy the evening at leisure to explore and dine on our own at one of many wonderful restaurants.

Day Five – Arlington National Cemetery & Cherry Blossom/ Monuments Cruise
Following breakfast, we’ll depart for Arlington National Cemetery. Hop aboard the Tour Mobile for a tour around the Cemetery. View the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Eternal Flame marking John F Kennedy’s Grave and visit the Iwo Jima Memorial which is one of the largest bronze statues ever cast. This memorial which depicts the flag being raised on Mount Suribachi during WW II is dedicated to all marines who have served our country since 1775. This afternoon, enjoy a scenic cruise enjoying the beautiful Cherry Blossoms in bloom while viewing the Monuments. Cruise highlights feature the Jefferson Memorial, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Washington Monument, Memorial Bridge, and the14th St. Bridge. Upon return, enjoy picture stops at various monuments of choice. Tonight enjoy another delicious dinner.

Day Six – Philadelphia, PA
This morning enjoy breakfast before departing for the City of Brotherly Love and the Birthplace of our Nation – Philadelphia PA! Today we’ll enjoy a tour of the city along with a visit Independence Hall; the birthplace of our nation. This historic site was originally built as the Pennsylvania State House, and it is where the Declaration of Independence was first adopted, and where the U.S. Constitution was written. Then visit Liberty Bell Center to view the Liberty Bell. Later, we’ll check into Philadelphia hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner tonight.

Day Seven – Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, Lower Manhattan & 911 Museum
This morning we’ll enjoy breakfast before departing for New York City. Arrive to Liberty State Park to board the ferry for a cruise to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This afternoon, cruise to Battery Park at the tip of Manhattan where we’ll board our coach and enjoy touring lower Manhattan. Our tour takes us through lower Manhattan, Greenwich Village, So Ho, China Town, Little Italy, and Wall Street; home to the NY Stock Exchange, Washington Square, Saint Paul’s Chapel and Trinity Church. We’ll finish off the afternoon with Visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum; A national tribute of remembrance and honor to the men, women and children killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. Then we’ll check in our Mid-town Manhattan hotel for the next two nights. This evening, enjoy dinner in the city!

Day Eight – Midtown touring & Broadway Show
This morning after breakfast, we’ll depart with our tour guide and enjoy a tour of Mid-town Manhattan, driving by such sites at the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Time Square’s Theater District, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, and Radio City Music Hall. Enjoy dinner tonight before enjoying a smash Broadway hit Musical!

Day Nine – Depart for home
This morning enjoy breakfast before we check out and depart for the airport to prepare for our departure
home.
