Day One – Welcome to Charleston! Boone Hall Plantation
Welcome to Charleston! We’ll start our journey with a visit to the Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens. This Plantation, founded in 1681 by Englishman Major John Boone, is a testament to the city’s rich history. The approach to the plantation, lined with majestic live oaks, is a sight to behold and a symbol of southern heritage. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a private guided tour of the house and the Black History in America exhibit in the 9 original slave cabins. After this enriching experience, we’ll check into the Hampton Inn Charleston – Historic District hotel for a two-night stay. Tonight, we’ll dine at one of Historic Charleston’s acclaimed restaurants.

Day Two – Charleston Touring, Carriage Ride and Harbor Cruise
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll meet your local Step-On Guide for a captivating tour through historic Charleston. The day’s adventure includes a one-hour carriage ride through the Historic District, offering picturesque views of city sights and 18th and 19th-century buildings that echo the charm of Colonial America. In the afternoon, get ready for a scenic narrated harbor cruise. As you sail, you’ll be regaled with enthralling tales of the city’s colorful past, all while taking in the breathtaking views of notable landmarks such as Fort Sumter, the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, The Battery, the Ravenel Bridge, Castle Pinckney, and other sites from the past and present. Tonight, you’ll have the pleasure of choosing your dinner venue from one of the many wonderful Charleston Restaurants.

Day Three – Charleston Tea Garden & Historic Savannah
This morning, get ready for a truly unique experience at the Charleston Tea Garden, the only tea garden in North America. The sight of hundreds of thousands of tea bushes stretching out acre after acre is a sight to behold. Enjoy a narrated trolley ride to see the vast tea bushes, visit the Greenhouse, and then take a tour of America’s only tea factory! In the afternoon, we’ll set off for the enchanting Historic Savannah, a city where southern hospitality thrives and every street corner holds a secret. Savannah, a jewel in the crown of the South, comes alive with vibrant colors in its elegant squares, each sharing stories of a rich past. Later, we’ll check into the Historic District hotel for a fun-filled three-night stay. Take time to relax and freshen up before tonight’s dinner at one of Savannah’s famous restaurants, where you can savor the best of down-home southern cooking. Included Meals – Dinner

Day Four – Historic Savannah Tour & Riverboat Cruise
After breakfast, meet your local Step-On Guide for a beautiful day touring Savannah’s “Hostess City.” Begin at Savannah’s Visitors Center to get acquainted with the city before setting off for a city tour. Steeped in history, tradition, and romance, Savannah traces its routes to 1733 when British General James Edward Oglethorpe and 114 British settlers landed his ship on a bluff high above the Savannah River. Your tour will include driving and walking as we view many of its original 21 squares embraced by ivy-laced homes and buildings, most built during the antebellum period. View notable sites such as Forsyth Park, Savannah’s Squares, Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, River Street, and much more! Mid-day, enjoy lunch on your own along the riverfront and take advantage of the great photo opportunities of Savannah’s historic riverfront and skyline. Later this afternoon, board a Savannah Riverboat for a scenic 90-minute cruise to experience the river that was – and remains – the lifeblood of Savannah! Hear our Captain’s intriguing tales and historical facts about our modern port and the ships that visit worldwide. Tonight, enjoy the evening at leisure to dine on your own at one of Savannah’s fantastic restaurants!

Day Five – Tybee Island & Dolphin Cruise and Haunted Trolley Tour
After breakfast, meet your local Step-On Guide and set out for Tybee Island, a tranquil coastal oasis. Here, the sands witness centuries of maritime history, with the island once serving as a strategic outpost during the Civil War. Visit Georgia’s oldest and tallest lighthouse and watch the shrimp boats come ashore, bringing in the day’s catch. Later, embark on a Dolphin Cruise and experience the thrill of encountering dolphins in their natural habitat while taking in breathtaking views of Tybee’s serene coastal waters. From historic lighthouses to majestic Fort Pulaski to dolphins playing next to the boat, our tours offer something for everyone! Return to your hotel this afternoon and enjoy some free time to explore historic Savannah. Tonight gather for a delicious dinner at another great Savannah Restaurant before setting off for a Haunted Trolley Tour where unseen spirits stroll among the living in the streets and squares of Savannah – “America’s Most Haunted City!”
