Day One – Welcome to New England!
Welcome to New England where autumn is radiant and beaming with beautiful colors or red orange and gold! Arrive to our Boston area hotel for the evening and receive a warm welcome by our Professional Tour Director. Take some time to freshen up before enjoying a delicious welcome dinner.

Day Two – Historic Boston, The Berkshires & Norman Rockwell Museum
This morning depart for a guided tour of this Historic and cultural city known fondly as ‘Bean Town’. We’ll tour along the Freedom Trail viewing such sites as the Old South Meeting House, Kings Chapel and Burying Ground, Park Street Church and the Old State House. Perhaps we’ll make a picture stop at the Bull and Finch Pub – known to most as “Cheers”. See the beautiful Boston Common – the oldest public garden in America. We’ll spend some time at Faneuil Hall for lunch on own and time to browse through the shops. This afternoon, depart Boston for the Berkshire Hills. Enjoy the beautiful colors as we travel through the Pioneer Valley to the Berkshires Hills! Enjoy a visit to the famous Norman Rockwell Museum located in the beautiful town of Stockbridge! Later, check into our hotel and take some time to freshen up before dinner this evening.

Day Three – Apple Barn Experience, Historic Bennington & Robert Todd Lincoln’s Hildene
This morning after breakfast, journey north to the Green Mountains of Vermont for a visit to the Apple Barn, featured on The Food Network, The Travel Channel and Good Morning America! Enjoy a ‘Taste of Vermont’ experience which includes a narrated tour to the top of their 300-acre orchard for panoramic views of the spectacular scenery of southern Vermont followed by a slice of homemade apple pie ala mode and choice of beverage. Then we’ll tour through historic Bennington, with a visit to the Bennington Monument State Historic Site. Continue on to the beautiful village of Manchester for lunch on our own before visiting Robert Todd Lincoln’s Hildene – home of Abraham Lincoln’s descendants until 1975. Tour the restored 24-room Georgian Revival mansion, hear the 1908 Aeolian Organ and explore the magnificent gardens. This afternoon, sit back, relax and take in the beautiful scenery as we make our way to our Vermont Hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy a savory dinner this evening.

Day Four – Uniquely Vermont! ~ Rock of Ages, Vermont Maple Sugar House & Cold Hollow Cider Mill
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then depart for another spectacular day touring around northern Vermont while enjoying the splendid foliage and countryside. Visit the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry – a truly unique place unlike any other! A friendly Quarry guide will greet us for a private tour around the 50-acre, 600 foot deep quarry of the oldest stone on earth. Mid-day, enjoy a tour through Montpelier, Vermont’s State Capital and then enjoy lunch on own. This afternoon, it’s on to Morse Sugarworks, a traditional Maple Sugar house for a demonstration and ‘sugar on snow’ tasting! Continue on to the famous Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Watch cider making and enjoy free samples of cider and other Vermont specialty foods! Finish the day off with a visit to the beautiful village of Stowe for browsing and shopping. This evening, enjoy another wonderful planned dinner.

Day Five – Mount Washington Hotel Tour & Luncheon and Cog Railway
This morning, depart for the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Arrive to the historic Mount Washington Hotel. A grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, The Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, was a two-year labor of love for 250 master craftsmen. Conceived by industrialist Joseph Stickney, this National Historic Landmark opened in 1902 and immediately became a favorite summer haunt for poets, presidents and princes. Enjoy a guided tour of this magnificent hotel followed by a delicious luncheon in the grand dining room. Then, we’ll venture to the Mount Washington Cog Railway for an unforgettable and exciting “once in a lifetime” railing experience. In 1869, the Cog Railway was an engineering marvel, a technology of toothed cog gears, rack rails and tilted boilers. Enjoy a rare glimpse of this world gone by while enjoying spectacular views as we travel up some of the steepest railroad tracks in existence. This afternoon we’ll check into our hotel for a relaxing two night stay. Enjoy dinner on our own this evening.

Day Six – Lake Winnipesaukee Cruise & Castle in the Clouds
We’ll venture out this morning for another spectacular day of touring through NH’s Lakes Region and White Mountains. Arrive to Weir’s Beach to board the M/S Mount Washington for a scenic cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee; the state’s largest and most beautiful lake. Following the cruise, we’ll visit Castle in the Clouds; Thomas Plant’s spectacular Arts & Crafts mansion built by over 1200 craftsmen at a cost of over $1 million in 1914. This New Hampshire icon is wonderfully preserved to give a real sense of how country life was lived by the fabulously wealthy at the turn of the century. This afternoon, we’ll tour along one of the country’s most scenic by-ways; The Kancamagus Highway en route back to our hotel. Enjoy a savory dinner this evening.

Day Seven – Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, York & Lobster Cruise
This morning we’ll depart for ‘downeast’ Maine and begin with a tour of the popular summer resort of Kennebunkport. Its quaint setting appeals to artists, writers and Presidents. Enjoy a scenic drive along the ocean to Walker’s Point passes the well-known summer home of past President George HW Bush. Continue on to the seaside village of Ogunquit – named by the Abenaki Indians meaning, “Beautiful place by the sea”. Board the ‘Finest Kind’ cruises for a first hand lobstering experience! Then it’s on to the villages of York with a visit to one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country – Cape Neddick Light, popularly known as “the Nubble”. Check into our accommodations and take some time to freshen up before partaking in a traditional down east Clambake and a chance to try Maine lobster!

Day Eight – Depart for home
After breakfast this morning, we’ll begin our journey home with lingering thoughts of our Taste of New England experience and treasured memories that will last a lifetime!
